HackAware.org: Scam investigation and public awareness
An independent Sri Lanka-based platform that connects scam reporting, investigation, public warnings and practical safety guidance in one accessible initiative.

The challenge
Modern scams increasingly imitate legitimate companies, jobs and investments through professional websites, familiar brands and social engineering. Ordinary users often struggle to recognise the warning signs, preserve useful evidence or know where to report suspicious activity.
The solution
I developed HackAware as more than a cybersecurity blog. It combines public scam reporting, structured investigations, threat education, prevention resources and records of suspicious infrastructure. Research is translated into clear public warnings, while fraudulent domains can be reported and their subsequent status tracked without overstating HackAware’s role in the outcome.
My role
I founded and lead HackAware, taking responsibility for its concept, product direction and public platform while contributing directly to scam research and investigative content. My work spans web development, user experience, content architecture, OSINT, scam-pattern analysis, domain monitoring and responsible public communication.
